What does Gantz have to gain from opening a front with Lebanon?
I can't see it being of any benefit to anyone in Israel other than Netanyahu and his far right allies - and only then because they extend their reign. Do they think they can genuinely remove Hezbollah from southern Lebanon?
Nasrallah seems to think they could, or else why would he have left Hamas hanging?
And what would be gained is that 130,000 displaced Israelis could go home again. People forget there are 250,000 internally displaced Israelis in total.
