I'm grateful to live in the midwest. It can get uncomfortable here, but nothing like what many other people are dealing with. The high temperatures here this week will be around 80 F (+27), which is normal.
Midwest is underrated. I lived in various parts of Ohio for a good chunk of my 20s. The summer humidity sucks and I hate scraping my windshield 3 mornings a week during winter, but the weather is never insane. And the cost of living relative to average salary is some of the best in the US.
