There are some bluejays who have nested in the tree outside my bedroom and they are REALLY LOUD at 5:30 am. They are native to the US and parts of Canada. They're not super common around here. Stock photos for people who have not heard of bluejays before.

I admit my knowledge of their history is still superficial but when compared with other countries, they have a lot of advantages (resources, land area, military) and many of the same disadvantages AND YET they are still massively fucked up. (To be clear, I'm not saying it's genetic, it's just... ??)

the thing about Muscovy is that unlike colonized countries, they 100% fucked themselves. It's not consequences of European conquest. It's not natural disasters, it's (largely) not internal or external war. Europe experienced major world wars twice and still got their shit together.

The nice thing about having a shitty memory is that I forget why I disliked someone, so they often get a second chance. Sometimes I even forget that I disliked them at all.
