I do not believe that Michael Bay or that movie is bad

Bay has an incredible and unique talent and precise vision. His visual imagination is feast and in his heart he is a dark nihilist. It’s an uncomfortable and mean spirited movie but it is not “bad” and Bay is not “bad.”

Bay is on my list of "dudes who would be great DPs but whose opinions as directors are... fraught"
