☝🏻 Excellent advice! Mine is a file called “Shadow Syllabus” that I update with comments after class.
After year 2 I learned to listen to past me from the shadow syllabus, even if I don’t remember why. If past you took the time to write “move this deadline” - MOVE IT.
One more. Take a few minutes after each lecture to write down some notes. How far did you get? What would you change next semester? Any new ideas? 2 minutes of notes now we'll be an enormous help the next time you teach that lecture. Disclaimer: I give this advice, yet I am bad at following it.
It was the right call for me but that doesn’t stop me from being so sad that I’m not at #ABCT this year. Please simultaneously tell me everything that is happening while also convincing me nothing is happening so I don’t feel left out. ty in advance <3
