My absolute favourite of the Monsterverse franchise, and the only King Kong film I've really enjoyed over the decades
Manages to be enthralling, hilarious and brutal with equal force and now I really want to watch it again. They didn't play it safe, and I'm here for that kind of storytelling
I fully agree. This movie is amazing. I think it does well with its Vietnam war metaphor and visuals - I enjoy it disregard for human life and strict adherence to the rules of the setting, while also just being funny and charming and showing the kindness possible Kong. It's wonderful.
