The new BEVERLY HILLS COP movie isn’t very good, but I’ll be damned if you cannot see, from time to time, the really unmatched comedic charisma that Eddie Murphy has trying to peek out.
We’re watching it right now (taking a break while the dog has her constitutional). The nostalgia of it all is a pretty strong draw - the music, the Serge cameo - but some of it’s pretty rough.
His enjoyment when he surprises you into a laugh is so charming. He shares the fun with you & I can't think of anyone else like him. Jack Benny, maybe?
