Let me be clear. In my opinion, John Roberts has joined Roger Taney (Dred Scott - slavery) as a Chief Justice who will be remembered as an evil man. Not just wrong, but worthy of eternal condemnation for trying to destroy the Republic.

The discourse around biden needing more sleep is fully insane. Does no one remember "Executive Time," the thing Trump spent the majority(!) of his schedule on where he would just watch TV and tweet? Dude was categorically unable to fulfill any of the demands of the office and the press barely cared

Compare this to when Trump says something like “we’re gonna catch Goofy and execute him for his crimes folks” and people in the press go “Mr. Trump seemingly analogized criminals to a Disney character as he called for harsher legal penalties”

Organizers got enough signatures to put a measure protecting abortion on the ballot in Arkansas. In *Arkansas*. They had *no national support*. Ignore the pundits melting down over not being treated as Very Special Boys. Dobbs has fundamentally changed elections. Everything they know is wrong.

Trump's supporters pre-Jan 6 spent months sharing blueprints for guillotines and gallows, planning chemical weapons attacks on the tunnels beneath the white house, and discussing the most painful ways to kill Pence, Pelosi, and Schiff. Trump egged them on. I personally don't want round 2.
I for one am pretty fixated on not having to spend even more years of my life wondering if Donald fucking Trump is going to deploy nuclear weapons

That Heritage Foundation statement threatening a violent revolution against the left = that moment in a movie in which the forces of evil loudly announce their evil plans. except in real life, unlike in a movie, most normal people don’t even realize this has *happened* (which is our job).

I don't understand this point. Trump can just pardon them.

i refuse to believe that americans who watched the debate think that biden’s first 15 minutes are somehow stronger evidence of old age decline than falling asleep, *in public*, DURING YOUR OWN FUCKING CRIMINAL TRIAL, *IN COURT IN FRONT OF THE JUDGE AND JURY*, but, you know, i’m not a columnist.
Trump’s public schedule showed that on most days, he worked (“worked”), like three hours a day. And this isn’t even a “Biden can’t work late at night” issue. It’s a Biden is pulling back on SCHEDULED EVENTS that start after 8pm, which is actually a good idea for most people.

This is Stephen Miller's law firm. They're also currently repping a TV reporter suing CBS-LA for being anti-white, which as a former CBS-LA reporter I think is absolutely laughable. But they're trying to create still more legal precedent for a racist takeover, it's clear
The Northwestern lawsuit is an example of the White gaze in action: “White gaze is the operational norm of White space wherein Black people are scrutinized through the lens of Whiteness, resulting in their exclusion, subordination, and objectification.” www.reuters.com/legal/legali...

It's not the worst thing here, but calling Trump "a hype man who actually builds things"... he's super not? He puts his name on things, and if possible, he gets people to pay him for the privilege of doing that for him, then uses the implied association with that building for further hype.
In case you’re wondering if they justify this through some sort of circumlocution, no, they don’t.

My sincere post today is that the full version of all of our major foundational documents should be taught from K-12 so no one who graduates high school enters adulthood without knowing how our government works
Happy Independence Day! This day seven years ago there was a minor controversy as Trump fans angrily denounced large portions of the Declaration of Independence because they thought it was anti-Trump propaganda. It was! We should have taken their response as a sign of how bad things were!

It should not be controversial to say that prison sexual violence and/or coercion is never a good thing or an appropriate thing to joke or threaten about, even when the target is someone terrible. It is a deeply fucked up, traumatic part of our carceral system.

It also makes me feel insane that the rat fuck around Biden’s age and mental capacity is being uncritically spread around by Democrats when Trump is *incredibly obviously* grotesquely mentally incapacitated, in a way that is genuinely terrifying.
It makes me feel very much unmoored from reality to see all this *buying into* the Biden Too Old ratfuck narrative, days after the Supreme Court ruled that Trump gets to be dictator for life, just weeks after Trump became a convicted felon (oh, and there’s the Epstein stuff that just came out).

Sticking with Biden or running Harris would be *far* less risky than dedicating two of the next four months to Democrat infighting, followed by an unprecedented delegate voting process and dubious chances of even getting on the ballot. Knowing this shit is supposed to be these people's job

In spite of everything, Donald Trump is still facing the worst electoral map of his political career. He is weak. The RNC is weak. He's is facing an incumbent who beat him once already. America is furious about Roe. He could win, but it is so, so far from a forgone conclusion.
i'm getting so, so tired of the doomerism on here, and the press loves covering shit like a horse race instead of explaining fundamentals and what's at play, a job that seems to fall to @golikehellmachine.com on here. so here's a thread about why i'd rather be biden — yes, biden — right now

this case against biden's resignation makes sense. i do think that if biden decides to step away from reelection, he should explicitly say that he is doing this because House Republicans are too corrupt to confirm a replacement for Harris.
1/ I'm agnostic as to whether Biden should withdraw from the race. It's a genuinely tough question IMO. But I have clarity on one thing: He should absolutely not step down as president. If Harris becomes President, the Vice Presidency is empty. Under the 25th Amendment ...
