a probably unpopular opinion is that the escalating culture of leveraging bullying and victim-blaming to coerce people into voting for democrats has actually been an acceleration mechanism for fascist creep, and bears significant blame for where we are today.
anyway, if you’re reading this and having big feelings, please consider that browbeating people who have consistently been ringing alarm bells about escalating fascism every step of the way probably isn’t the way to save yourself from, you know, the fascism
But if they stopped blaming people who are actually fighting fascism, that would mean they’d have to take a look at their own complicity and maybe put in some work or something! That’s much harder than yelling at people while sitting in a chair feeling smug about themselves :(
