I learned recently that in addition to just generally being terrible, AI — like crypto before it — uses so much computing power that it’s… 🥁🥁🥁horribly bad for the environment too.
Why are “unhelpful to society and also destroying the planet” the defining qualities of so much modern tech? 😭
Tech bros think the future is an omelet and the billions of people who'll die to climate change are the eggs. They imagine themselves as the visionaries making the hard choices no one else can.
