Lux Alptraum לקס אלפטראום: Today is day 15 of me taking Lexapro and day 7 of me feeling like myself and not a lunatic. People keep telling me it takes 4-6 weeks to reach the therapeutic dose but I truly don’t understand how I could feel more normal than I do now.

Today is day 15 of me taking Lexapro and day 7 of me feeling like myself and not a lunatic. People keep telling me it takes 4-6 weeks to reach the therapeutic dose but I truly don’t understand how I could feel more normal than I do now.

I’m taking it for OCD, not depression — I don’t really get depression, my OCD just shuts me down sometimes — but the dose I’m on (10mg) is technically lower than what you’re supposed to take for OCD (I think min effective dose there is supposed to me 20mg?) so it’s all very confusing.

The important thing is I can get out of bed and exercise and do work and I don’t have brain fog anymore and I’m not having scary panic attacks

(I’m hoping it keeps working at 10mg because I would prefer not to go higher if I don’t have to!)

I was on it for panic attacks, and it made a huge difference when I needed it, and it took effect basically, within 1 week
