I think the Democrats have got a lot more stuff done than I ever expected, despite an obstructionist House. Room. For improvement, sure, but they’re getting results and Trump / the GOP want to tear it all down and go to war on their “enemies” I.e Anyone but them

Yeah, I've been pleasantly surprised by the Biden presidency; he's governed progressively than he campaigned as, whereas Obama was the reverse.

And accelerationists actually want it to happen, because they think it's necessary for a "glorious revolution" to occur. Just throwing every vulnerable group under the bus so they can larp as Sandinistas.

The irony being Sanders would likely be horrified by that.

Because he isn't an actual socialist. He still believes that people and private organizations can own things. He just wants a strong social safety net, like we had in capitalism's heyday between 1945 and 1981 when Jack Welch took over as CEO of GE.

Ironically he came to power the old fashioned way. He worked his way up the ladder. Rather like Gail Evans working her way up from janitor to CTO of Kodak. Welch and his followers took that away from everyone else while Republicans made it harder to unionize.

You can trace a direct sequence of events from Welch to Boeing's current problems. Sanders doesn't want to nationalize the economy. He just wants to go back to a form of capitalism that lifts people out of poverty rather than trying to keep them in it.
