One fun thing about seeing new Indie Gamedev folks is theyre often of 2 types: new or early career folk that are striking out on their own, or really late term folk that want to build their own thing Its lovely to see both groups

I think my biggest recommendation for organizing data in games, is .:. Separate out constant data from changing data Ie, FPS say (though, also directly applicable to RTS, RPG, Rxx). Split the data into CharacterDef: All the data constant for any character (player, friend, enemy). Forex ->

Great thing about folks not looking into history is you can punch above your cleverness

I get that algorithm is now about social media accounts presenting a curated list of (tw|sk)eets to folks But my brain tweaks just a little each time I see it. Every program has 1000s of algorithms in them (with no offense to folks that use it, its the way language works)

So, gamedev folks Thoughts about cozy survival games? I feel like thats potentially doable. Though, strictly speaking, Im likely thinking of cute survival vs cozy survival, since I think a root part of the cozy genre adjective is low pressure
