6 July 1940 | A #Hungarian#Jewish boy, Istvan Ferenc Reiner, was born in Miskolc to Bela and Livia.
In June 1944 he was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.
This smiling little boy always hits me harder than most. I can't say any life is worth more than another simply because one is adorable, but he still hits me harder than most.
I think he just reminds me that they were *all* somebody's perfect little angel once.
Or at least that they all deserved to be somebody's perfect little angel once.
