As the daughter of a Black Vietnam vet who suffered life long pain from a service related injury but was constantly turned away from care by the VA I can’t even bring myself to read this. My father eventually died of a treatable condition at 62 b/c he was sent home to take ibuprofen by a VA doc.

A 2017 internal Veterans Affairs report shows Black veterans were more often denied benefits for PTSD than their white counterparts. The analysis crunched claims data from fiscal year 2011 through 2016. And disparate treatment started after WWI when it was still called shell shock. It continues.

17 Presidents were Senators, 15 were VPs. Harris has been both. Standard POTUS qualification stuff. There's been only one President who never held a high-ranking government post before: Donald Trump, and it showed through his incompetence and mismanagement.

I really don't mind that YouTube keeps trying to show me all sorts of scale modeling and model railroad stuff or whatever. Those are cool enough for those interested in them, they're just not me. But the RWNJ suggestions are really getting tiresome. Those clowns have never had anything to offer.

Looking at comments about dressing well, and a lot of people stress about it too much outside of a professional setting rather than dressing as they like. But hospitals surprised me. "Dad's sick! To the hospital!" Tee and jeans? Get ignored. Nice suit and makeup? Get answers. Surprised me.

Like No fault divorce. Most don't realize the fight for that has been going on since the 70s and though it's legal at this moment, the last state only legalized it in 2010. That's only 14 years ago. Conservatives have been trying to take individual rights away using religion since humans could walk.
