Today I learned that Colin Chapman, inventor of the Lotus Super 7, originally sold the cars in kit form, so the buyer had to assemble it. This was partly for tax reasons. But to get the tax break, the car couldn't ship with assembly instructions. So he included a manual on how to *disassemble* it.
