I drive my pathfinder friend nuts because I rarely use a 5th level attribute boost to get halfway to +5. PFS only goes to level 12, so it's not like I'm gonna get a ton of use out of that +5 on classes that don't use DCs, I'd rather get a +1 to something else for seven levels.
I'd rather have an extra +1 to AC and to hit with my bow on my warpriest, I don't cast many DC spells so it doesn't really matter. same with my investigator... I improved my CHA and WIS instead. my swashbuckler did take the half, because he needs his stats as high as possible to work right.
