is there something wrong with the audio settings on my computer or are pretty much all video games just extremely loud by default. i usually have to turn the master volume down to like 50% ingame
For me it’s always the music - it’s set to 100 same as effects, etc, but it’s almost always wayyyyyyyy too loud to the point I can’t hear anything else
Do you have a volume dial on your headset cord? If so it might be cranked all the way to max. I do and it occasionally gets bumped and it's like WOAH LOUD
The volume for everything seems to be fucked these days. My games, all the different streaming apps and all the different shows on the streaming apps need different volume settings
If something’s wrong with your audio settings it’s wrong with mine too. Especially in comparison to like, a discord call games are ludicrously loud out of the box
Do you use stereo-only sound? If there’s no true stereo setting for a game/movie, the way sound outputs through stereo on a surround-optimized game or movie is often abysmal. Only voice is center channel, so everything else gets too loud because it would be on several surround channels. I hate it.
