They say that in two months
COVID cases in New York City
are up 250%
and while I’ve seen this explained
as being a result
of the new variants
being “harder to duck”
I can’t help but wonder
if the real problem
is that most people
aren’t trying to duck them.
Here in Denver, you're now seeing STARs vans everywhere - "Support Team Assisted Response."
It's a medic and a social worker, both trained in mental health and addiction support, showing up instead of police. They offer support to homeless folks, people in crisis, and folks in altered states.
If you ask me
“were you like this
before the pandemic?”
I will be honest with you
and respond that no
I was not like this
before the pandemic,
for you see
before the pandemic
I truly believed
(I foolishly believed)
that in the face of catastrophe
we would stand together.
Ah ha ha, of course 🤣
Of course they fucking did 🤯
Only a couple more steps until 'Covid is good for you, actually' 👣
C'mon world, you can do it, you evil, twisted, fucking shit bag, dirt eating, hell hole
Well, I guess I've been cursing so much lately that auto-correct stopped changing 'fuck' to 'duck'.
I'm currently working on a drawing of a duck in a pond that I send updates about to my 10 y.o. daughter.
Guess what auto-correct is doing now 😳
Don't know if this is an ADHD thing or just a me thing.
I noticed that as soon as I get close enough to accomplish a task I will start doing it regardless of posture. Where sometimes it just takes a half step and a turn to not be at an awkward angle.
Better at noticing and adjusting now.
