I worked at the AU law school from 2007 until last summer, when I started my current job at the Copyright Office. On Friday, I have my first conference presentation of my current research, which digs into the copyright registrations data. Just by coincidence, it will be at the AU law school.

Hello from the top of the Library of Congress 👋👋👋👋👋

The Library of Congress has some of the early drafts of the Constitution on display. This version of what would become the 2nd amendment protects the right to bear arms for the militia, & also protects religious objectors from being compelled to bear arms in the militia.

Finished up my first week in the U.S. Copyright Office's (relatively) new econ shop. It's a good team of people & it will be great to really dig into the CR data. A Kermit the Frog submitted to the office in the 1970s lives in a glass display case down the hall. (It may be a replica. Not sure.)

After working at American University Washington College of Law for 16 years - today is my last day!

NEW JOB NEW JOB! This fall, I'll start a new job as a statistician at the U.S. Copyright Office. I am looking forward to diving into the registration data and studying big issues like the intersection between AI & copyright. Thanks to everyone who supported me @ American U over the years.
