Kind of a failure of the opinion polls, which had Reform well above the Lib Dems since earlier this year and some recent polling had them in the same general range.

Eh, I think I'm wrong here. They actual got about 14% of the popular vote. But as we all know here in the US, the popular vote doesn't always equal the actual vote. In FPTP, you don't get anything if someone else got the majority.

The polls had Reform in that range, so in that sense they were just about on point.
