Is this true chat you can matcha your way to a full caffeination
i actually rly like matcha if you do want to fuck with it. if you use a milk frother to whisk it you don’t have to deal with the tedious ritual of manually whisking it unless you find it meditative and grounding

matcha definitely way more caffeine heavy than normal green tea. and it has a lot of the other chemical l theanine in there that some people think might or might not do something

What sort of something do people think theanine might do and is it also there in green tea am I wrong thinking that matcha is green tea? Is it a different plant?

yeah matcha is especially high quality green tea leaves ground up, the big differences being the quality of the leaves and more importantly the fact that you consume the leaf directly rather than straining it out

Hunch: EGCG in green tea gets turned into theacrine in gut through gut bacteria using a nitrogen/urea based process. This would explain why it increases NAD+: acting to fuel gut bacteria as a prebiotic. I suspect plants make it to fight off fungal infections when they can't be in the Sun.

Much of the energy boosting impacts of caffeine is through activating relevant bile pathways to help energy and changing B vitamin releases in the liver. Helping the body digest fats by increasing relevant metabolism. Except in extreme cases both caffeine and teacrine are liver protectants.

It's important to have enough B1 in your diet if you're going to drink anything with high amounts of tannin like coffee or tea. Green tea is interesting because it has very few tannins. If you really go full theacrine, try Pu'er (also spelled pu-erh).
