Really not enjoying Torvus Bog. I thought I was looking for 3 more keys, but after enough wandering the game goes "lol you IDIOT you were supposed to go halfway across the map and pick up a new item"
Then I try to use that item to explore Torvus Bog some more until the game yells at me again.
The Grapple Guardian has terrible hit detection, shots just bounce off the weak point.
I think it's about time I accepted that Metroid Prime 2 is a terrible game.
I've noticed hit detection issues on other enemies too, come to think of it. It just wasn't as big a frustration because they weren't bosses.
I watch videos to confirm the strategy and it's just the game being garbage. Everything seems to work fine whenever the person is playing on GameCube.
