Nothing more exciting than not being able to watch college football because my shitty billion-dollar cable provider is in a slapfight with billion-dollar shitass Disney over which one of them gets to fuck me harder and rob me more.
MLB gives me a lot of hope that the NHL can figure it out, especially since MLB is bigger/more teams/more games. If they can get it right, it would be such a huge step forward.
Just de-spiriting to hear the executives talk about "growing the game" and its like, mfer I can't even watch the game.
The blackouts make absolutely no sense. I need to get cable (and it has to have TNT) and the ESPN app on top of that, and then a bunch of games I care about will be completely blacked out anyway no matter what I do because I live in market for one of the teams I care about.
The blackouts make complete sense, ESPN does not have rights to stream in markets where the games are aired elsewhere. I watch nearly every Red Wings game from Tacoma. The only ones I can’t watch are those on TNT or when they play Kraken.
Doesn’t help people who live in market and can’t watch the games because the RSN was pulled from their provider. You can find less than legal ways around it but not everyone can do that.
well, it could be worse: you could live in singapore where the only option is clicking through a dozen slimy porn popup ads to watch a gray-market stream of kansas vs missouri state
(go jayhawks)
oh, wow, thank you, that's really really kind of you to suggest. (I don't deserve that!) but I actually have a bunch of work I really need to do, and this is probably the best outcome for me as a person overall
