Not voting as a protest is a useless luxury. You are telling the rank and file that they do not have to listen to you. And they are correct. If you didn’t vote, I assume you are on the side of whoever wins.

Side note: if you live in a closed primary state, register as either a Dem or Rep. even if you don’t agree with their policies you can vote in primaries and move the needle more moderate, or more radical as the case may be.
A relative of mine for example, does not agree with the Rep party, but she is registered as one so she can vote for moderate candidates in her red state.
