I can confirm that #Longlegs is quite good. Dry sense of humor at points, solid jump scare moments, and a great ensemble cast. (Including Alicia Witt! I was delighted to see her in the cast and her performance was excellent.) Plus Osgood Perkins himself, who spoke afterward, is dryly funny in turn.

Because of course #GibbyHaynes would be leading a bunch of school-of-rock kids in a version of the #ButtholeSurfers song “Revolution” with the kids all shouting the “Garry Shandling!” bit. #MosswoodMwltdown

I mean yeah all the visual jokes and references and everything in this century. But in its own form, especially the original release with the literally textured sleeve, I mean...'iconic' is overused as a general term but I'll make a goddamn exception every time if this is the subject.

Faded as noted, the upgrade to museum-level was only fairly recent, but here ya go. (This would have been early seventies.)

Regardless of your feelings about the show, whatever they might be...I do like this line:
