I grew up in Florida; HOAs got completely out of control there; this is long overdue.

The article mentions professional firms as a solution; they’re part of the problem. Property management firms (and their lawyer friends) working with HOAs all have a vested stake in harassing homeowners using HOA covenant pretenses.
