In a writing workshop the other day, someone asked me if I use AI at work for game art stuff, and before my brain could even engage my mouth went "God, no. Why?"

It's what such a question deserves.

Its my gut response every time too.

The fact that we all have to defend our work now is so frustrating.

This is going to become an occupational hazard, isn’t it? It’ll be easier for some people to believe a computer made something attractive or clever than some human.

On top of that, this person might be asking it ironically, which is still bad.

A guest on Dohmance Dawn asked if we used AI for the covers and I was like "no, we happily pay an artist for our weird Simpsons and One Piece art!"
