every once in a while it really tweaks me out that Cold War Two has got an "i win" button labeled "accept radically increased chinese immigration" and no one wants to push it
America really ought to be aggressively brain-draining any country that even slightly annoys us.
"Oh, you won't sign this trade agreement? Ooops, free citizenship for the first ten thousand doctors from your country. So as we were saying..."
Like, it's a moral good *and* vicious realpolitik.
Yeah like, it's not literally true that everyone in the world wants to come here, but it's true enough for practical purposes
