Remember that Native nations don't conform to US colonial borders. The Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) are split between NY and Canada. The Tohono O'odham and Yaqui are split between Arizona and Mexico.

The Blackfoot Confederacy also crosses the 49th parallel and is currently divided on both sides of the US-Canada border. While theoretically a tribal ID is all that is required to cross the border, in practice border agents often ask for more than is required.
