Well after reading many persuasive articles online I'm convinced of two things: 1. Joe Biden MUST withdraw so we can have a winning candidate 2. Joe Biden MUST NOT withdraw he's our only hope this close to the election

Something I somehow only just thought about: if Biden bows out and it's Kamala, who gets the VP nod?

Fascinating discussion about social media. Around minute 21 talks about an experiment where people became incentivized to post outrage, this outrage then extended to their real life.

Accidentally went down a rabbit-hole of David Byrne bad behavior: taking credit for Chris Frantz's Warning Signs until Chris reminded him he'd written it (in college), to Byrne+Eno wanting to do the same thing. + Tons more. Are all famous people talented but also self-promoting amoral climbers?

"But I'm not gonna rant. [breathes deeply] Just gonna make my one point, which is this: the idea that that the process of jettisoning Biden & choosing someone else will go well -- will be *allowed* to go well -- is a deeply deranged fantasy."
This is good. Yes, it is political, and it’s at the dumpster fire place, but a worthy read. x.com/drvolts/stat...

One thing we can all agree on I'm sure is fuck Meghan McCain. Biden comforted her and her family after her father died. She's a terrible human.

Cancel if you haven't already. The NYT truly is in the tank for Trump. There really is no other way to view the relentless assault on Biden while they're also publishing this. Fuck you @nytimes.com
I don’t even know where to begin with this.

Evergreen reminder - bank with a credit union. Banks are for-profit greedy bastards by design. Now that Chase can't gouge you for overdrafts, they "have to" charge checking account fees. Because making less money simply isn't an option.

They did some (apparently small, but hard to tell since they weren't broadly announced) layoffs this week, and I'd be lying if I said there wasn't some small part of me wondering what the severance looked like.
