Dan Hodges has just made the best argument for keeping FPTP.
People on Thursday voted to kick the tories out but under PR we still would have Rishi Sunak allied with Reform.
Quite a lot of countries use various PR systems. A review of how it has worked in terms of coalitions etc would be a good starting point. It can happen that the tail wags the dog, e.g. the religious parties in Israel.
Dan Hodges does not generally make good arguments.
How would they govern on under 50% of the vote.
Coalition would be Lab+Lib+Green, but it's also all nonsense cos people would vote differently under PR and turnout would be likely higher.
