Oddly, my wife doesn't really play video games. We do board game together. But a friend of hers had a cracked copy of Doom II and she used the availability of same as an excuse to come over to my place, ostensibly to give me a copy, on the night we finally got together.

We're facing that wildly in Canada, especially the Canadian North. It's just a cycle of companies getting rich on resource extraction, putting the waste in gigantic tailings ponds or huge walled mountains, sequestering all the profits elsewhere, and then declaring bankruptcy when it's cleanup time.

I'm a coffee hater who likes coffee flavoured desserts, basically. :) I don't like coffee qua coffee, but I love coffee ice cream, coffee slushies (Tim's iced caps or Dunkin's frozen coffees), Coffee Crisp chocolate bars, etc. I'll drink coffee if it's ludicrously sweet and creamy.

It turns out that if you make your mug 50/50 coffee and super sweet flavoured creamer, you can't really tell if the coffee is bad. 👍

I was all excited to make an iced coffee today; I brought in my flavoured creamer and everything. I just went to make it, and... we just ran out of the decent coffee, so I'm left having to fall back on The Worst Coffee Known To Humankind(tm). :(
