in grad school my dept had a “physics art show” and i submitted this domeflat (an image of a blank white field inside the telescope dome used for calibration) from the subaru data i was working with. everyone’s used to astronomy being a 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭 science, so i wanted to subvert their expectations 🔭
