It makes sense when you realize the majority of those polled thought the last election was stolen.

Among Americans who hate, fear, and/or despise democracy, Trump is trusted to handle (ie. make, foster, enact, and exacerbate) threats against democracy and against persons who identify as Democrats or supporters of democratic processes. Ambiguous poll wording.
