I know it’s become a thing with me, but I am just endlessly fascinated by the hubris of a company whose entire hook was that they could make children pay $10 a bottle for an energy drink through peer pressure whose entire stock now appears to be functionally worthless. They cannot give it away.
Like, not to labour the point, but this is the most right wing imaginable view of the world - the idea that everything should be out there, no matter how harmful, and if it goes wrong, well, that’s what the gods of the market wanted. Sorry abused children!
I follow a tech podcast that has a sub-show that follows pop culture and provides me with episode titles that, for all I know, are written about the pop culture of the moon.
My family are away so I came to the station pub to read my book. Happy with that decision. If I was single and childless I’d 100% be one of those guys who sits in the pub on his own.
Super nice gig today. And not badly done for a seven month break with zero rehearsal, zero soundcheck, zero line check. Little more bracing than just diving into stuff you haven’t played for that long in front of 25,000 strangers.
I don’t want to hear any ‘I refuse to pay for feckless benefits scroungers’ shit either - pensioners are, through no fault of their own or anyone’s, the biggest portion of the welfare budget by a country mile, to make no mention of the NHS.
