Can’t even imagine what the United States as thinking in the 1940s. Tule Lake was one of the 10 camps operated by the War Relocation Authority (WRA) from May 27, 1942, to March 20, 1946. 110,000 Japanese-Americans were forcibly removed from their homes and communities and incarcerated.

Really? Bc I’m not sure there’s a huge difference. It just went dark for a while and now it’s rearing it’s ugly, ugly head again.

Shame can be a useful emotion. Part of loving our country is knowing when and how our country did wrong, so that we can resolve not to repeat the mistakes.
