My wife and I left Colorado one year ago today. Seems simultaneously like both a long time ago and yesterday, but The Time Knife cuts both ways, doesn't it?

You saw the TIME KNIFE??!!!?!???
Avatar
Yes yes we've all seen the time Knife

It's a Plait insult. It's devastating. You're devastated right now.

Me too. I need to rewatch again soon.

But if it’s not milled from a solid block of titanium, the knife won’t cut the time cleanly, and you’ll get time all over everything.

It’s a lot more…boring looking than I was expecting.

We moved a much shorter distance (from Lyons to Longmont after 18 years in Lyons) one year ago tomorrow. I know *exactly* what you mean.
Avatar
You moved *away* from the soft ice cream shop?
Avatar
Well only 10 minutes east of there. Lake McIntosh area.

Back here in Boulder it’s a classic summer day at 86F and 12% humidity, puffy white clouds in a mile high blue sky.
Avatar
Yeah it's like 96 here and the humidity is roughly the same

The move seems to have been good, a few extra degrees notwithstanding? Change can be difficult but is often quite helpful.

I didn't know that. I thought you still lived there.

For a moment there, I thought you were saying you'd moved to Saturn.

I wish I had a time knife. All I got is a butterfly knife. & all that does is stab butterflies.

We left 1yr 9mo ago and feel the same way. A bit surreal at times.

*we left CO (Littleton) too… forgot to mention that part.

We keep reeling at how green it is here. And I've lived in VA longer cumulatively than any other state!

I left Littleton in 1991 and moved to the PNW. It was a big change. Lots of green. Lots of cloudy days. I did go back several times a year to visit my Dad until he passed away in 2013. And to visit the mtns. I was back in May for a wedding. Denver has changed a lot in the last ten years.

I do miss seeing Longs Peak and Meeker out my window. But we don't get Chinook winds here, or blowing dust, so it's kindof a wash.

Dad used to love going to RMNP. We went there several times a year after I moved. If I go a couple of blocks away from my home I can see 3 volcanoes (Adams, St. Helens, and Hood). I'm in a valley so I can't see them from home. That makes up for not having Evans, Pikes, and Longs visible.
Avatar
Admittedly the view of Adams is just a tiny sliver. There is a tall ridge in the way. My profile background is Mt Hoot taken from beside the Columbia River.
