My wife and I left Colorado one year ago today. Seems simultaneously like both a long time ago and yesterday, but The Time Knife cuts both ways, doesn't it?
I left Littleton in 1991 and moved to the PNW. It was a big change. Lots of green. Lots of cloudy days.
I did go back several times a year to visit my Dad until he passed away in 2013. And to visit the mtns.
I was back in May for a wedding. Denver has changed a lot in the last ten years.
Dad used to love going to RMNP. We went there several times a year after I moved.
If I go a couple of blocks away from my home I can see 3 volcanoes (Adams, St. Helens, and Hood). I'm in a valley so I can't see them from home. That makes up for not having Evans, Pikes, and Longs visible.
Admittedly the view of Adams is just a tiny sliver. There is a tall ridge in the way.
My profile background is Mt Hoot taken from beside the Columbia River.
