I love everything about this photo of Joey Ramone c. 1985, from the correctly punctuated hand-lettered sign with equalized pricing for the three genders, to the photo of Aretha Franklin on the cover of Long Island Pulse Magazine and Grace Jones in the ad on the back.

My father-in-law used to pick up extra cash in the 60's and 70's hand lettering signs like these for small businesses in New York City.
