On Saturday I saw some Red-winged Blackbirds attacking this Great Blue Heron that walked too close to their nest! They would land on its rump and pluck out its feathers, I could hear the ripping noise. The heron did not seem all that bothered by it.

This weekend I saw two lifers in San Francisco: a Cape May Warbler and a few Scaly-breasted Munias. They weren’t too enthusiastic about being photographed so I only got some bigfoot quality shots :/

Lifer! I wish I’d had my DSLR on me yesterday when I saw these Ash-throated Flycatchers up close and personal, but phone camera + binoculars performed admirably.
