Tezuka just rolled with this and went on to use the same characters in every setting. If it worked for him ..

I’m not sure if it helps or not that my ADHD-wormed brain hops from idea to idea fast enough that none of my characters ever escape my brain. Are they truly “reused” if they were never truly “used” in the first place?

Osamu Tezuka used to say he rehired the same actors for roles across his stories all the time, if that helps.

Now that you mention this, in combo with the mounted rings on isobels suit, im reminded of the audiobook Brigador: in smaller mech of the setting they have elastic straps that should make it more comfortable to control, but the hardcore pilots dont use them. So it /could/ be somewhat compliant :D
