We’ve returned to the olden days, when word-of-mouth was the only real way to advertise. As an author, if you enjoy a book, please: tell your friends. Your group chat, your sewing circle, your family WhatsApp, your work Slack, the voice channel of your MMORPG guild, anything.
Even more, we will talk about books we may not have enjoyed personally, but have heard about on our socials - e.g. "oh I cannot with space dragons but I know the patron who will eat that up with a spoon, lemme buy it so I can force it on them"
We have a rule in collection development, if all 6 of us grown while reading a book description we have to buy it because it will checkout like crazy 😝
