I am not going to moralise to anyone else what the principles under which they vote should be but I will say that I simply do not agree with the general thesis that voting for a party always means a wholesale endorsement of /every single plank of their platform/
A lot of people seem to have it in their head that being a Democrat means you have to uncritically agree with everything the party does when all it really means is you get to vote in the primaries in some states.
