I wish those "gender critical" people really had the best interests of kids in mind. I don't think there's any amount of proof that gender-affirming care is good for trans kids that will make GC people change their minds. I suspect they are perfectly OK with trans kids living unhappy existences.

Very true. But even more worse given the tragic statistics, I suspect they are perfectly OK with trans kids not living. This isn't just a quality of life issue, this is life-or-death level of seriousness for far too many.
