What is the US voting turnout in recent years 40% ? Atrocious. We don't vote for us, we vote for our families and the vulnerable, hoping they're better off than we ever were.
So voting is better than *not* voting when it comes to getting what you want? Huh.

Three years ago less with than 10% of the city population voting in the primary ... it seems as though if you could mount an effective campaign to get voter turnout just to 15% he'd be gone.
