People keep telling me to do things I hate for the sake of getting more attention but the only reason I want attention is so people will look at my art and if I'm busy doing the other stuff, I won't have time for art.
Always kind of a little sad when you watch a YT art channel become a "commentary channel."
I get it, no shaming here, we're all trying to survive capitalism. But I hope y'all still draw, even if you're not showing anyone anymore.
"Pivot to video!" they say, but even beyond the fact that that is a whole separate full time job (that I used to have, Emmy winner over here), I don't want to alter my art to make it work in that format.
So eventually, I'd be making other stuff that does fit the format, and I'd be giving up on art. It wouldn't make me happy, and any money to be found would be just as fast/famine as my current career making stuff I like.
This is becoming a thing in writer-land too and like excuse me, I'm a writer aka a weird socially awkward vitamin d deficient goblin and people want me to do video? I honestly can't imagine anything less appealing to me or less appealing for someone else to watch
pls leave the writers be in text based social media where we can procrastinate working on our novels in peace without worrying about things like "facial expressions" and "lights"
