Always kind of a little sad when you watch a YT art channel become a "commentary channel."
I get it, no shaming here, we're all trying to survive capitalism. But I hope y'all still draw, even if you're not showing anyone anymore.
For me it's extra sad if it happens to be a turn into a self-help / prosperity / financial independence grift channel. Because that feels incredibly cynical now
My channel was basically a dev log with some pixel art time-lapses... and then a narrative analysis of an old CRPG did bonkers numbers so now I largely do more of that and video game history.
Streamer voice appears to be a communicable disease, and it's a shame when a previously chill and relaxing channel catches it.
I was here to learn, I don't need to get all hype about it.
There's a lot of white supremacist outlets that praise art and architecture from the 1800s and before. The subtext is always, "Look how great everything was before we let brown people go to school."
