Just in case someone I know here might be interested: I will be inaugurating this exhibition on Saturday, at 20:00h, at the Museo La Celestina (La Puebla de Montalbán, SPAIN). It reviews the visual culture of #Celestina and highlights her topicality in the 21st century. Highly recommended!

👇In my experience language students are extremely motivated and committed to their subject. And those who start learning a language from scratch at university even more so.

Do I know someone with a copy of "The SS in heavy metal lyrics" I could read? I do not have access to Metal Music Studies and I do not feel like paying 40€ for a footnote. If not, I will just write to the author, but maybe this method is a little bit quicker.

After having studied the influence of Terence's incunabula editions and illuminated manuscripts on the woodcuts of #Celestina, I have moved to another potential source: the dances of death. Celestina shares attributes with the old woman of Vostre's design (and its followers).

Given some of the reporting of the last week, it’s clear that we’re in for another wave of discussion about whether Ukraine should be pushed to the negotiating table. A long🧵(also posted on the other site).
