One of the weirdest things about approaching 50 is recognizing how much I always unconsciously assumed that as I learned certain things and ideas were bullshit, society was learning that too and we’d all be leaving that bullshit behind from here on out
The tragedy seems to be that there is no internalised learning in a generational basis. Our knowledge of eg: the extermination camps created by Nazi Germany does not automaticallt get passed in. We have to *show our kids what we know, from living for 50+ years.
