The article says that Biden wasn't "old" (aka displaying these new symptoms) in 2023, but a review of @washingtonpost.com 2023 Biden articles definitely has him as being too old for the job then. So which is it? If you were wrong last year, why should we believe you now?
President Biden, who at 81 is the oldest person ever to hold the office, has displayed signs of accelerated aging in recent months, said numerous aides, foreign officials, members of Congress and others who interacted with Biden over the last 3½ years.
Biden’s aging is seen as accelerating, lapses described as more commonwapo.st Aides, foreign leaders, donors and members of Congress say Biden has seemed slower and more often loses his train of thought in recent months, though close aides insist he remains mentally sharp

That's the problem with the modern mainstream media. They misrepresent things (Biden, Trump) we can objectively see ourselves for clicks and vibes and to conform with their preconceived notions...and then they say Democracy dies in darkness and trust us. How can we sift good reporting from bad now?

This is a of a piece with climate change and the last two decades of political coverage. The need to describe both sides results in reporting that places them on level footing and too often, actually elevates the side most divorced from reality.
